Cyrille Aimée is heralded as one of the most promising jazz singers of her generation. Raised in the French village of Samois sur Seine, she cut her teeth on the musical legacy of Django Reinhardt. Every June, gypsy caravans set up encampments in nearby meadows for the annual Django Reinhardt Festival and young Cyrille fell in love with their way of life, their language and, most of all, their music.

Alasdair Fraser, long regarded as Scotland's premier fiddle ambassador, and the sizzlingly-talented cellist Natalie Haas share the stage with the full CSB/SJU Orchestra. In traditional Scottish music, the fiddle and the cello were the dance band of choice. Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas have been reviving the old pairing with driving, dancing rhythms and improvising on the melodies and grooves of Scottish tunes.
