Sarah Vowell is co-presented with the CSB Literary Arts Institute.

When David Sedaris visited campus, he said "you know who would be great here? Sarah Vowell." As fans of Sarah's we agreed.

Sarah Vowell is the New York Times' bestselling author of six nonfiction books on the occasionally musty topic of American history. Don't let that fool you though - by examining connections between the past and present, she offers hilarious insights into everything from presidents and their assassins to colonial religious fanatics. Vowell is a contributing editor for NPR's This American Life and starred as the voice of shy teen superhero Violet Parr in the Pixar film, The Incredibles.
