Take the beloved classic tale, A Christmas Carol, turn it into an uproariously entertaining musical where all the parts are played by just three actors and you have Scrooge in Rouge.

As Scrooge in Rouge begins, the audience steps out of 21st Century Central Minnesota and into a mid-1800s English music hall in London. Seventeen members of the Royal Musical Hall Variety Players twenty-member cast have taken ill from a cast party the night before, succumbing to food poisoning. This leaves only three healthy actors to play and sing all of the parts in the show! The brave trio, accompanied by Alfred, their talented, intrepid pianist, takes up the challenge and plays all 27 roles.

True to music hall tradition, this deftly written version of Dickens' enduring story has catchy music with clever lyrics and witty dialog. It is fast-paced, with countless gender-bending quick costume changes and vaudevillian humor, and peppered with bawdy lines and double entendres. Scrooge in Rouge is best enjoyed by those 16 and over.

For an added special holiday experience, Thursday night performances will feature a pre-show wine tasting by Cru Wine Service's certified sommelier Nick Barth. Friday and Saturday night shows will feature dinner by Custom Catering and DB Searle's. And every show will also offer a full bar.
