Many places in this world sing to me. These are just a few. - Photographs by Carol Weiler

A centuries-old door or wall in an ancient European village speaks of the passage of seasons and weather. DAwn illuminates a window at a house on Rainy Lake. The light of a Tuscan dusk sculpts the hills. A patterned Moslem pillar in Spain bends the light that bounces off rosy walls. Modern forms transform the sky's reflections. These places tell us about time, stories and the spiritual and material concerns of the people that made them. They are not only the property of the past or their cultures - they speak to us today with the elegance of their forms.
