    Essential Art Exhibition Award Ceremony & Celebration      

    This activity is funded, in part, by appropriations from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State's general fund, and its arts and cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

    This activity is made possible by a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, through funding provided by the Minnesota State Legislature.

    The reception will feature a Musical Performance by Peter Johnson & Tyler Tholl, as well as a presentation by juror, Christopher Atkins, with an award ceremony.

    Artists from throughout Minnesota were invited to submit, and approximately 35 pieces will be featured. The artwork will be primarily 2D and 3D work, featuring paintings, drawings, sculpture and ceramics.

    $1900 in Awards!!
    1st Place: $500 (2D & 3D)
    2nd Place: $300 (2D & 3D)
    3rd Place: $150 (2D & 3D)

    The juror for the exhibition is curator and arts writer, Christopher Atkins, of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts’ program Minnesota Artist Exhibition Program. We have used him as a presenter in previous programs, but would love to have his input on artists from greater Minnesota (since that is the primary artist pool that we attract.)
