The SCSU Percussion Collective presents a program that celebrates outstanding student achievement. Highlights of the program include Eric Elker, a junior in the music education program, performing Ney Rosauro's Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble. Other soloists include Nina Zywicki, a jujior in percussion performance performing Keiko Abe's Michi for solo marimba and Eric Palmer, a junior in music education performing Bill Molenhof's Waltz King for solo vibraphone. The program will also feature traditional folkloric Cuban rhumba drumming and singing with the SCSU World Drumming Group and will conclude with an arrangement of Jerel Bowman's original composition SickNES. Jerel is pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Composition and New Media. Join us for what is always a dynamic and rockin' concert experience!
