Paramount Gallery Saint Germain presents Richard Lozier's "Follow the Wind"
"After forty plus years of creative thinking, I have come to the conclusion that the more you learn, the less you know about being an artist. But the hands must be trained by practice, the mind aquisition of knowledge, and the soul by its everlasting desire to create a fresh piece of work" - Richard Lozier

Richard Lozier has been painting since 1968. His career started with an ad that read, "Can you draw this pirate?" run by the Famous Artist School in Westport, CT, recruiting artists for lessons. He worked faithfully for forty hours each week for three years. During this time, he also worked "Sidewalk Shows" in the summers, up and down the New England coast, from Boston to maine. He became obsessed with painting. In 1976, Lozier enrolled in the New England School of Art and Design on Newbury Street in Boston, Mass. After his formal education ended, he lived and painted in Rye, NH, Naples, FL, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, McCall, ID, Santa Barbara, CA, Maui, Hawaii, Jamaica and Little Falls, MN where he now resides and paints from all his travels. Richard is presently working on new paintings based on his sketches from Maui.
