“Girl, 14, Conquers Tanglewood with 3 Violins”
This was the front-page headline in the NY Times after Midori made her Tanglewood debut in 1986. During her performance, a string on her violin broke. Without stopping, she borrowed the concertmaster’s violin, and another string broke. She finished the piece with the assistant concertmaster’s violin. In the years since then, she has dazzled audiences throughout the world. Two presenters in the US were chosen to receive a recital by Midori this season through her non-profit Partners in Performance foundation, and the Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud is one of them! Don’t miss the incredible opportunity to hear this legendary musician! Midori's appearance in St. Cloud is made possible in part by the non-profit organization Partners in Performance. Founded by Midori, Partners in Performance aims to keep chamber music alive and accessible in the heartland of America. More information is available at pipmusic.org.

The Chamber Music Society requests that children be at least 7 years of age to attend.

This organization is funded, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
