The Buffalo Community Orchestra opens its 2013 – 2014 season with a thrilling evening of music all based on mysterious or “magical” stories, set to music by some of the world’s greatest composers. Join us for Wagner’s famous “Ride of the Valkyries,” Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, Berlioz’s “March to the Scaffold,” and a special feature with BCO’s principal violist Zachary Armstrong performing one of the great works of the solo viola repertoire, Hindemith’s Der Schwanendreher. Erik Rohde, conductor.
