The SCSU Percussion Collective is joined by the SCSU Cirrus Brass for a concert featuring a variety of music for percussion and brass ensembles. The program will feature two compositions arranged for the Percussion Ensemble written by SCSU student Jerel Bowman. Bowman’s music is best described as London Drum & Bass meets Dub Step arranged for the Percussion Ensemble. In addition to traditional works for brass ensemble, the program also features an arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody for brass and percussion and Folke Rabe’s Jawbone no. 5 for solo trombone and percussion ensemble featuring SCSU trombone professor David Peterson. The Percussion Collective programs are always eclectic, and by joining forces with the SCSU Cirrus Brass the concert promises to have a little something for everyone.
