The St. Cloud State Wind Ensemble performs its first concert of the semester on Sunday, March 2 at 3 pm in Ritsche Auditorium. This concert is a Friendship Concert with the Wind Ensemble from the University of Minnesota-Morris and features music by Gustav Holst, Modest Mussorgsky, Michael Torke, and Marco Pütz. The program will close with both ensembles playing a combined medley of Beatles tunes used in the 2006 Cirque du Soleil production, Love. The St. Cloud State Wind Ensemble is a select group of about 30 performers, mostly St. Cloud State University music majors led by conductor Catharine Bushman. This concert is also a send-off the SCSU Wind Ensemble’s tour to St. Louis which begins March 6. Please call (320) 308-3223 for more information.
