    Artist Statement:
The bulk of my work revolves around clean lines and the utilization of bold primary colors. Simple forms and outlines provide less distraction from the intent of each piece. It is my aim to capture the viewers’ attention immediately through the aforementioned means. The subject matter of most of my pieces tends to encompass darker emotional states and explores new relationships between unexpected components.

Additionally, my work is more primitive in the sense that there are many bold outlines and almost all pieces lack a sense of depth .The conceptual intention outweighs the need for strict adherence to foreground/background conventions. More recently, my experimentation has been with simple human forms to evoke different emotional responses. Some exhibit a sense of energy while others emit a sense of calm chaos.

Lastly, the overall objective behind my painting is to tell stories. The visual elements are meant to provoke a thought process within each viewer. At first it may seem unclear the intention of a particular piece, but after visually exploring deeper, each individual viewer may come to develop their own story about or within the piece itself.
