Debate on Topic: "In the aftermath of genocide, forgiveness is more important than justice."

RWANDA: 1994 genocide. 1 million innocent lives taken in 100 days. Unlike the Jewish Holocaust, the victims of this genocide had no choice but to return to live in the same communities with those that killed their relatives and friends.

NOW, 22 YEARS LATER, the country that was once known for murder and destruction is now known for hope and peace, Through this journey, Rwanda has acquired insight on reconciliation, healing, identity, and the importance of speaking up.

It is with that spirit that the “2016 iDebate Rwanda USA Tour: Voices from a Post Genocide Generation” came to be.

Come hear the STORIES OF ORDINARY RAWANDANS who are living inspiring and impactful lives!
