Martin Luther King Jr. taught us how to step into each other's shoes and to be the peace that we want to see in our communities. This concert celebrates his legacy through Spirituals and arrangements of songs of peace we hold dear in our nation. Songs include "Hold Out Your Light" by Moses Hogan, "Ain't You Got a Right to the Tree of Life" by Caldwell & Ivory, "Freedom's Plow" by Rollo Dillworth", "MLK" by Bob Chilcott, "Steal Away" by Gwynyth Walker, and many more. MCC is joined by the Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota Concert Choir and Con Brio choir, as well as soloist, André Heywood, director of the St. John's Boys' Choir.
