In this hilarious dark comedy, eight friends meet for a ‘couples brunch’ where unfortunately, the hosts Pete and Emma intend to announce their divorce. But they’re not the only pair in romantic disarray. Free spirits Buck and Lexi are fumbling through life in an open relationship. After six years of dating, Shane and Hedy still haven’t set a wedding date. And finally, Tracy and Glenn are on their third awkward date. Tensions escalate when the internet, phones and power go out and the group discovers that America has been struck by…something. A nuclear explosion? A terrorist attack? A zombie apocalypse? …The Rapture? In its comedy-of-manners fashion, It’s a Disaster reminds us that being trapped with the same slightly annoying friends we’ve known since college isn’t the end of the world…Or is it? Based on the Todd Berger film. Directed by Raine Hokan.
