A new quilt exhibit, “Granite City Rocks,” showcases the work of the St. Cloud Heritage Quilters.

The 24-by-24-inch quilts were designed by members as part of a recent group challenge. Each participant randomly chose one of two fabrics that resemble granite quarried from the St. Cloud area – Cold Spring Black and Cold Spring Charcoal Black. The “granite” fabric had to be used for the binding and at least one square inch had to be used within the quilts.

The St. Cloud Heritage Quilters are dedicated to furthering the love and art of quilt making. They make and donate quilts and quilted items to various charitable programs in the area. The exhibit runs through September 30, 2017.
