    Plant and Play - A Healthy and Historic Way - Summer Camp Stearns History Museum Plant and Play - A Healthy and Historic Way - Summer Camp Presented by Stearns History Museum at Stearns History Museum May 16-August 22, 2013 A vegetable garden…what a great way to make friends, both young and old, while having fun! In conjunction with the Museum exhibit that features World War II Victory Gardens, the Stearns History Museum is planning a summer garden program for seniors and children. Children will get their hands dirty planting, nurturing, and harvesting their own vegetables and learning, in the process, about healthy eating and outdoor exercise.     Memories in Miniature Exhibit Stearns History Museum Memories in Miniature Exhibit Presented by Stearns History Museum at Stearns History Museum November 26, 2012-December 31, 2014 This is an exhibit of miniatures from the Museum's collection. People make and collect miniatures for many reasons. Some preserved memories of family and community by carving wood. Some made models to honor a time, a place, of people in the past. Some used them to imagine what might have been. These miniatures are rightly called “folk art,” the work of people with a passion for what they loved and a yen to create.
