Carrie Newcomer is a songwriter who has an Emmy and Grammy for her song “I Should Have Known Better’ that appeared on Nickel Creek’s This Side Album. Allie Summers is a graduate of the Jacobs School of Music but began performing as a little girl in her family’s bluegrass band.
