Jacob Laxen, a former entertainment and food writer for the St. Cloud Times, will talk about his book, Central Minnesota Beer: A History, at the 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, Breakfast Club.
Beer has been an integral part of Central Minnesota politics, business, and culture for almost two centuries. As a beer enthusiast, Laxen visited Central Minnesota communities in search of good beer and stories. Laxen covered the food and drink industry for the St. Cloud Times from 2014-16 and later for the Coloradan in Fort Collins, Colo. In addition, he wrote craft and domestic beer pieces for national publications. Laxen moved to radio in 2019, working as a digital managing editor at Townsquare Media in Fort Collins. He now works as a digital campaign manager for Townsquare Ignite.
Attendance for this event is limited to 50 people due to COVID-19 space limitations. Reservations are required and will close at noon Tuesday, October 12.
