Call for Art and Stories: Institute for Aesthetic Advocacy

All Bullets Shatter: Uncounted Stories of Gun Violence and Trauma.
Over 26,000 bullets were fired in Minneapolis in 2021. And while gun violence is “counted” in terms of injuries and body counts, this leaves out the tragic human cost of this epidemic: Trauma.
In an attempt to bring attention to this human rights catastrophe — and bring healing to shattered lives and families — the Institute for Aesthetic Advocacy, Guns Down. Love Up., the Institute for Digital Humanity, and the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives have joined forces to curate a living exhibition on trauma and gun violence.
Details are on the attached flyer. All submissions that meet our guidelines will be featured in our permanent online archive, which will be used to advocate for more robust PTSD counseling services in the Twin Cities.
