Civil War Roundtable, Christopher Lehman "Slavery in the Upper Mississippi Valley"

Monthly meetings of the group during the school year feature speakers and a question and answer session.  The presentations are free to the public, but membership to Central Minnesota Civil War Roundtable is available.  Membership to the group is $40 for individuals and $50 for couples.

Dr. Christopher P. Lehman is the chair of the Ethnic, Gender & Women’s Studies Department at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He has been a summer visiting fellow at Harvard University. He is the author of the book Slavery in the Upper Mississippi Valley and of several articles about African American slavery in Minnesota. His forthcoming book Minnesota Masters is to be published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press.
