The group meets at 3 p.m. the second tuesday of the month during the academic year at the Stearns History Museum. The meeting is open to the public. Cost for nonmembers is usually a freewill donation.
The 5th Minnesota of Forts Ridgley, Ripley and Abercrombie
Author Vince Botz will focus his talk on three of the four main military posts in Minnesota during the time of the Dakota War. Two of the forts underwent attacks, and the third was in danger of attack. He also will address the story of the Lost Regiment.
