Creating for a Performance (Art to Wear!)

This class will inspire children to express themselves through the visual arts and performance.  We will learn a little about theater, sets, and props as well.  Our emphasis will be in creating personal stories which may be performed.  Students will create various types of puppets, masks, and costumes.  We will create and embellish fabrics, practice a little sewing, and combine many recycled materials for costumes.  In the process we will draw, paint, construct, and embellish theatrical art.  We may even learn a little about story boarding, scripting, and exaggerated performance.
