Intro to Glassblowing

Learn the basics to blowing glass in this 3 hour class. You will be taught studio safety, tools, and techniques used in glassblowing. Learn glass blowing terminology, how to safely operate a glass blowing torch, proper equipment needed, and basic flame working techniques. This is a 3 hour class with the first 1-1/2 hours dedicated to instruction. During the second half of the class you will get behind a glass blowing torch and experiment first hand. With instructor guidance you will construct a mushroom implosion pendant that you can take with you at the end of the class. Comes with all materials including clear & colored glass, safety equipment, use of the studio including tools, use of didymium glasses, all oxygen & fuel gasses, and instructor guidance. When you finish the class you will be presented with a certificate of completion. Limit of 6 students per class. Must be 18+ to attend.
