Oils 150: Portraits from a Photograph

Create a family heirloom by learning to paint portraits from your own photographs. Suzann will walk you through the process of painting a portrait start to finish from a photo you bring to the workshop. The workshop includes a demo and hands-on work. Advanced students will have the opportunity to sharpen their accuracy and finishing techniques.?This workshop will teach you: how to choose a photo to paint from, ways to transfer a basic drawing to canvas, how to mix colors for flesh tones and steps to paint a portrait in one or more sessions.
