Ring of Kerry & Rince Nua Irish Dancers

Ring of Kerry will be joined by a trio of expert, award winning Irish step-dancers.

After a decade and a half of playing around Minnesota and beyond, Ring of Kerry ought to be one of those “needs no introduction” bands, but just in case: they’re a St. Cloud-based quintet specializing in Celtic music in general and Irish music in particular. This is their annual local concert, a day-before-Saint-Patrick’s-Day celebration of the range and depth of the music that the Irish and Scots have made at home or spread around the world. Expect jigs and reels and hornpipes, sea shanties and work songs, songs of love and loss and wandering, and perhaps a few tales of discreet hell-raising.
