Ruckus in the Bearbrush is the trio of Adrian Rainer (guitar, banjo), Emma Nistler (Autoharp, whistles), and Paul Imholte (fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar), and the ruckus in question is the sound of the music that has come out of the Appalanchians, along with its assorted cousins: ballads, laments, dance tunes, Celtic melodies, even sea shanties. It’s a deep dive into the musics that became “Americana,” before there was Spotify or Sirius XM.
