Our Drive-In is located in a beautiful small community here in the heart of Minnesota. Established in 1956 we have been proudly serving this community, along with many of its non-profit organizations, for 57 years. The Long Prairie Drive-In has been owned by the Meier family since 1985. When all the Drive-Ins around us were closing their gates and moving on, our Drive-In remained open. The Long Prairie Drive-In has been owned by the Meier family since 1985. When all the Drive-Ins around us were closing their gates and moving on, our Drive-In remained open. We have been determined to keep this wonderful part of American history alive. Our goal for The Nostalgic Long Prairie Drive In Theater is to create an authentic 1950’s atmosphere and hope to someday be able to locate and restore marquees from the 82 closed Drive Ins throughout Minnesota to be displayed proudly up by our screen.
