DAVINA SOWERS AND THE VAGABONDS have created a stir on the national music scene with their high-energy live shows, level A musicianship, sharp-dressed professionalism, and Sowers’ commanding stage presence. With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band is converting audiences one show at a time, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe.

The Vista Jazz Club formed at the end of 2016 when four musicians with a love of all kinds of music came together because it felt right.  Susan Schleper on vocals, Joe Meyer on string bass, Lane Trisko on percussion and Steve Bresnahan on 7 string jazz guitar have wide tastes and a deep love for the music of the Great American Songbook.  But it doesn’t stop with Duke Ellington, the Gershwin’s and Cole Porter. Add the bossa nova of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the tenderness of Nora Jones and the flair of Pink Martini.  And why not something from opera?  If it’s fun to perform, it’s on their play list.
