Monthly meetings of the group during the school year feature speakers and a question and answer session. The presentations are free to the public, but membership to Central Minnesota Civil War Roundtable is available. Membership to the group is $40 for individuals and $50 for couples.

Joseph Fitzharris is Professor Emeritus at St. Thomas University. There since 1971, Dr. Fitzharris specialized in the U.S. Civil War, and economic and military history. He is the author of The Hardest Lot of Men: The 3rd Minnesota Infantry, Broken and Forged Anew to be published next year. He is active with the Twin Cities Civil War Roundtable and the Ft. Snelling Civil War Symposium.
