Monthly meetings of the group during the school year feature speakers and a question and answer session. The presentations are free to the public, but membership to Central Minnesota Civil War Roundtable is available. Membership to the group is $40 for individuals and $50 for couples.

George Romano has had an interest in the Civil War since growing up 20 minutes away from the Chickamauga Battlefield site in NW Georgia. He is past President of the Rochester Civil War Roundtable and the past President of the Board of the Wood Lake Battlefield Preservation Association. The WLBPA is dedicated to preserving and commemorating the 1862 Dakota War Wood Lake Battlefield site (near Granite Falls) for future generations.
