Experience Level: Intermediate, Some Prior Experience Preferred

Learn to understand what you see when looking at a face and how to interpret it through line and tone. Advanced students will strengthen their
ability to render an accurate likeness. This workshop builds a great foundation for creating portraits in any medium and includes demos covering the principles of drawing a face and hands-on work drawing from sculptor’s casts or a live model.

You will learn:
• How to analyze light and shadow and create a light effect.
• How to map the features of the face.
• Common errors in portrait drawing.
