Tina Schlieske may currently call California home, but she agrees… a concert in St. Cloud is long-overdue. Tina will be performing with members of her band in an intimate setting.
Schlieske, originally hails from Minneapolis and is best known for fronting the band Tina and the B-Side Movement, now Tina and the B-Sides.
Tina spent her formative years in pursuing every avenue she came across from the glam rock of Bowie and T Rex, the showmanship of Elvis, the soul music of Aretha to the singer-songwriters of Joni Mitchell et al. Tina honed her skills, writing songs and playing every bar, club and festival that would have her.
Farewell Milwaukee is supporting this dynamic night of music with their first appearance in St. Cloud. The Americana/roots rock band released their fourth full-length album, FM in 2016. The band are mainstays of the Minneapolis music scene since 2008.
Farewell Milwaukee embraces the role that their Midwestern towns have played in shaping them artistically, garnering them fans through their authentic lyrics, lush vocal harmonies, and an honest sincerity at live shows. It is because of this, they have gathered accolades from the local and national press, landed a song placement on major-network TV, opened for the Lumineers (among others), and are featured on compilations alongside Mumford & Sons, Adele and Amos Lee.
KVSC’s Minnesota music concert series is supported in part with a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy grant, as passed by the voters in November 2008. The concert also serves as the official 52nd birthday celebration for KVSC, as the station first went on the air on May 10, 1967.
