Spring is in the air and it’s time to start thinking about getting outside. A perfect opportunity to get those steps in and support a great cause is to attend the 4th annual Run/Walk for Recovery 5k on Saturday, April 27th!
The event highlights the fact that all things are possible in recovery. By running and walking together, we offer support for all of our students, community members and loved ones who are making the daily effort to live a full and active life free from substance use. All proceeds go to support the SCSU Recovery Community program, which provides recovery support, services and scholarships for students in active recovery who are pursuing a college education.
The cost for the 5k is $30 if registered by April 20th – $35 race day fee. The 5k race/walk will start at 10a. We are also hosting a kids 1k for those 12 and under – that race will start at 9:30a – cost is only $10. The first 100 registered 5k participants will receive a free t-shirt.
