The Stearns History Museum is moving to its summer hours to serve the community better after Memorial Day.
“Many people work during the weekday hours we are open,” explained Carie Essig, executive director of the Stearns History Museum. “We want to give those community members, especially those outside the St. Cloud metro area, access to the wonderful exhibits, programs, and research that we have available to them.”
The Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday, and by appointment only on Monday. The new hours take effect Tuesday, May 28, and will end Saturday, August 31.
Look for the Museum at community events throughout Stearns County including the Stearns County Fair, Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm, Summertime by George!, and the Historic Downtown St. Cloud Art Crawl. We have room to make appearances this summer. If you’d like the Stearns History Museum to appear at your community festival, contact the Museum and we will do our best to attend.
Museum admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children, with a family rate that caps out at $17. Membership packages also are available for purchase. Please check our website, stearns-museum.org, for updated hours and events.
