The Opening reception will be Friday, June 7 in conjunction with the June Art Crawl.
Mary will be showing her landscapes at the Gallery St. Germain from June 4-29.
The settings in her landscapes are remote, hidden with little evidence any human presence. The choice of these serene and enigmatic landscapes is quite possibly the result of Mary Pat being the oldest of ten children. There was constant activity and little privacy in the house she grew up in. As a child she was in daily pursuit of quiet moments and hidden places. The lure of peace and solitude manifested itself in the earliest drawings she did as a child. These were visual “stories” often sketched in the white pages of hardbound books on her parents’ bookshelves.
