This exhibition brings together 10 black artists from across Minnesota for a journey through art mediums and messages
The Minnesota Black Fine Arts Show is an unprecedented collaboration between art galleries in Austin, Mankato, Saint Cloud, Minneapolis and Duluth. Together staff at the participating organization crafted the criteria and selected the participating artists. Because of the collaboration, audiences across Minnesota will see artwork by black artists from across Minnesota.
The participating artist are: Kprecia Ambers, Eyenga Bokamba, Carla Hamilton, Christopher E. Harrison, Bill Jeter, Antwon Key, Terresa Moses, Theoneste Munyemana, Ivy Vainio and Carl Wesley. The artists were chosen from a pool of applicants by a jury process.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
