Invitation for Kindergarten & 1st Grade Teachers
Join us for a two-day interactive workshop led by artists from Chidren’s Theatre Company’s Building Bridges program that explores developmentally appropriate arts integration strategies for kindergarten and first grade classrooms! You will learn interactive storytelling, acting out stories from familiar books, acting out student stories, and improvised storytelling – all fun ways of engaging students in literacy during your school day. *** 10 Total Hours of CEU credit

12:00 – 2:30 pm – Storytelling/Story Acting

JUNE 9, 2015
9:00 – 11:30 a.m. – Acting out Stories from Familiar Books
12:00 – 2:30 pm. – Improvised Storytelling & Storytelling Games

2D Art Room: Elk River HIgh School, 900 School Street, Elk River. This workshop is made possible by the Perpich Center for Arts Education and is free to teachers within the ISD 728 Regional Center; Becker; Big Lake; Elk River Area Schools; Foley; Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted; Monticello; Princeton; Sartell-St. Stephen; St. Cloud; St. Michael-Albertville; Sauk Rapids-Rice.
