Antje Duvekot was born in Germany and moved to the US as a teenager, and found her way into American music via singer-songwriters Ellis Paul, John Gorka and Ani DiFranco. Since then she has worked with Paul, John Gorka, and Lucy Kaplansky and been produced by Séamus Egan of Solas and Richard Shindell (who plays here the week before). Eight albums and lots of touring later, her honors include the John Lennon Songwriting Competition Grand Prize, the Kerrville Folk Festival’s Best New Folk songwriting award, and the Boston Music Award for Outstanding Folk Act.
