Breakfast Club - Immoral and Incorrigible: The Hidden History of Incarcerated Girls in Minnesota

Presented by Stearns History Museum at Stearns History Museum

When author Sheila O’Connor set out to uncover buried family secrets, she discovered several disturbing stories of the incarceration of adolescent girls for immorality and incorrigibility at the Minnesota Home School of Girls in Sauk Centre during the early 20th Century. O’Connor will draw upon her grandmother’s teenage pregnancy and talk about her historical research and book, Evidence of V: A Novel in Fragments, Facts, and Fictions.
