The Tournées Film Festival at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University is screening the film “Kinshasa Makambo” on Tuesday, February 4th at 7:00 pm in the Little Theater, Quad 346 (SJU). This documentary film tells the story of people fighting for social and political change in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, highlighting the stories of three members of the resistance. This event is sponsored by the CSBSJU Department of Languages and Cultures and the Department of Peace Studies. There will be an introduction made by Dr. Kelly Kraemer, a professor of Peace Studies at CSBSJU. There will also be a discussion following the film.
Free admission and English subtitles will be provided!
