Tournées Film Festival - "Claire's Camera"

Presented by The CSBSJU Department of Languages & Cultures, the Department of Asian Studies, and the Center for Global Education at The College of St. Benedict - Alum Hall in the Haehn Campus Center (HCC)

The 2020 Tournées Film Festival at the College of St. Benedict and St. John\’s University is screening the film “Claire’s Camera” on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 pm in Alum Hall, HCC (CSB)! Shot for only two weeks during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, “Claire’s Camera” tells the story of Claire, a schoolteacher with a camera, and Manhee, the subject of her photograph. The prolific and prodigious director Hong Sang-soo captures an impressive array of themes in this stunning film. This event is sponsored by the CSBSJU Department of Languages and Cultures, the Department of Asian Studies, and the Center for Global Education. There will be an introduction made by Dr. Elisheva Perelman, a professor of history with a focus on Asia at CSBSJU. There will also be a discussion following the film.
