National Core Arts Standards Workshop

Presented by ISD 728 Regional Center at Elk River High School

Receive an overview of the new National Core Arts Standards with one of the authors of this recent arts education initiative. Discover how all of the new arts standards interface to support student learning. We will identify essential strategies for using the standards to help all learners succeed, explore instructional and assessment strategies, and see how the national Model Cornerstone Assessments can be used for mapping student learning. 1 CEU credit is available for attending this session. Light refreshments provided.

Jeremy Holien serves as the State Visual and Media Arts Education Specialist for Minnesota’s Perpich Center for Arts Education. He specializes in professional and curriculum development, state standards and assessment implementation and Minnesota’s teacher evaluation program.
