Mary Flower

Presented by Granite City Folk Society at Online/Virtual Space

Mary Flower works all around the blues, ragtime, and adjacent territories, singing and composing and playing some wicked guitar and lap steel. Now based in Portland, Oregon, Mary was a founding member of the Denver-based all-woman association, The Mother Folkers (“the most carefully pronounced group in show business”), and has been a National Fingerpicking Championship finalist, a fine workshop teacher, and a sly and sophisticated songwriter. An evening of her music will take us from the 1920s to last week–in style.

Welcome to Granite City Folk Society’s virtual concert season! Our artists will be performing via streaming services, some from their own homes–a new kind of close-up music, even if we’re all over the continent. Streaming platforms will vary, so note the links for the individual events.

There is no ticketing for these performances, but the artists will be operating their own virtual tip jars. Be generous–we’re all running on fumes these days.

All shows are on Thursdays at 7:30 to 8:30 PM CST.
