We can’t get together in a physical space for a while, so we’re supporting a series of Virtual Concerts!
Zosha Warpeha is a violinist, vocalist, and composer from Minnesota, based in New York City, and currently pursuing graduate studies in Oslo, Norway. Steeped in improvisation, her music draws inspiration from a diverse range of folk traditions and contemporary music and often inhabits a meditative space between genres, exploring transformations of time, melody, and tonality through long-form acoustic and electroacoustic performances. She will be performing new works and improvisations that have emerged from her recent studies on the Norwegian hardanger fiddle, freely interweaving them with traditional Nordic melodies.
We’re going international on this one–Zosha will be streaming from Norway, where she is weathering the pandemic storm.
