Join us for an 8 week drawing course beginning in April of 2021!
Art in Motion will be hosting an 8-week observational drawing class focusing on the foundations of 2-dimensional art instructed by Christopher Zlatic.
This academy-style art course is fashioned after college courses but differing in that it will be accessible to most age groups (recommended highschool age and up) and serve as an affordable alternative to expensive and ambiguous college programs. This course is designed for the artist who may be unsure about the value of a college degree in art, doesn’t have the time to commit to college enrolment, or wishes to further develop their technical drawing skills. This season of art courses will be a great way to study art, learn classical techniques in a small group setting, and explore community in the arts guided by knowledgeable professionals.
We will delve into techniques of classical realism. We will be drawing from life exploring a variety of techniques including observation, measurement, light and shadow, composition, and perspective. We will be drawing with traditional materials such as graphite, charcoal, and conte.
Registration opens on January first and closes on March 31st. Classes will begin every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 at Art in Motion from April 15th to June 3rd.
