Three art exhibitions consider Anatolian women from individual perspectives of three artists.
• Fatma Nur Basaran’s exhibition subjects Anatolian goddesses and is entitled as Anatolian Woman: Mother Goddess.
• Banu H Gürcüm subjects Anatolian women photographed by the orientalists in 19th century and is entitled as Anatolian Woman:Orientalists’ women.
• H. Sinem Sanli subjects Anatolian women which were drawn by the contemporary Turkish miniature artist Levni in 13th Century and is entitled as Anatolian Woman: Levini’s Women.
These exhibitions together form a trilogy for the concept of Anatolian women from ancient times till 19th century. The technique is silk screen printing. The material used is special felted wool from Afyon region.
