Art in Motion will be exhibiting artwork that tells the story of the movement of ideas, people, and things through space now called Holdingford. The story of the Holdingford settlement is tightly tied to the pathway that was once a railroad.
Art in Motion is partnering with the Holdingford Historical Society to bring Artifacts relating to the railroad and the bike trail transition to view in our space. This exhibition will be up from August 17th to September 12th.
All artists are eligible to submit work. Artwork or items should speak to the idea of movement through space, transportation technology, and pathways. This show is a curated exhibit by management and staff at Art in Motion.
Artists will be notified by August 1st with their accepted pieces into this show. This show is curated by the Art in Motion staff. Submission closes July 29th. Accepted artworks must be delivered on August 13th to 15th and picked up or arranged for shipment on September 14th to the 18th. How to apply:
Art in Motion takes a broad definition of “Artwork” we are accepting traditional media as well as fitting artifacts and creatively designed, altered, restored objects and modes of transportation. Each individual is allowed to submit up to 5 pieces of artwork.
All submissions require a digital image with the file titled with your name and a unique number (Example JohnSmith2) Each submission needs to be labeled with the title of the piece, dimensions, material, and price or insurance value (IV) if not for sale (NFS). Example (File JohnSmith2, Limited Exposures, 16×20”, digital photography, NFS, IV $300. )
Images can be uploaded separately from the label information in the submission form, or a document containing images and label information can be uploaded. Artists need not submit both a document and individual files.

Submission forms are online and in-text translatable through third-party software. Art in Motion is open to alternative modes of submission to this show such as video conferencing, in-person meetings, email submissions, etc.
The exhibit itself will have large font labels as well as wheelchair access. Audio tours will be considered for the exhibit through a QR code link in the gallery.
