Join us for an exciting 2015-16 season!
Great River Chorale’s 2015-16 season will include two concerts, a fundraising dinner/concert with silent auction, and an outreach performance. As principal choral partner of the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra GRC will perform in the symphony’s holiday pops concert and will present a major choral-orchestral work in March 2016.

?Each audition will be 10 minutes in length and will include the following:

One prepared vocal solo (classical art songs, hymn, or folksong only; memorization not required. Bring music for the provided accompanist.)

Sight reading and tonal memory exercises.

Great River Chorale is an auditioned community choir based in St. Cloud whose fifty-plus members come from sixteen communities across central Minnesota. The chorale rehearses on Sunday evenings from 6- 8:30 pm between the months of September and May at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. The ensemble presents a much-heralded annual concert series in and around St. Cloud, and is the principal choral partner of the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra. Recent choral-orchestral collaborations include such masterworks as the Mozart Requiem, Borodin Polovtsian Dances, Ravel Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2, and Holst The Planets. In December 2014 Great River Chorale released "A Merry Little Christmas," a CD featuring new and classic holiday music. The choir has been featured numerous times on Classical Minnesota Public Radio’s Regional Spotlight and was selected to be on MPR’s 2013 Home for the Holidays promotional CD. Recently Great River Chorale was named a headline performer for the Northern Voice Festival, a new month-long celebration of the choral art in Minnesota. As part of the festival the choir will present a concert in the Ordway Concert Hall in St. Paul on April 25, 2015. Great River Chorale seeks to inspire a lifelong appreciation of the choral art by connecting with, enriching, and educating the community through performances of choral music at the highest artistic level, and is proud to be part of the thriving arts community in central Minnesota.
