This year’s opera workshop production is a farcical one-act opera by the prolific composer/lyricist duo from the late 19th century, Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert. The show centers around a ludicrous court case involving the breach of a marriage contract. The jilted bride and her bridesmaids plead their case while the philandering groom defends himself on the grounds of youthful, fickle love.
Our live pit orchestra will be conducted by Dr Irina Stene and will feature studnet musical talents.
These performances are presented by the CSBSJU Music Department. The performances are free with no tickets needed. This is an ARTE/FAE event for students, but community members are welcome to attend. Masks must be worn throughout the performance.
